It’s all in how you look at it

August 28th, 2008 by Susan Crispell

Ever wondered how ex-CIA agents communicate? With invisible ink, of course. In a pre-Emmy race to be noticed, USA Network distributed a mysterious kit to the voting members of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, to promote its freshman hit, Burn Notice. The drama follows an ex-CIA operative who was “burned” from the agency and, in true spy fashion, the kit lured the recipients in with cool gadgets and puzzling clues.

The kit included all 12 Season 1 episodes on four DVDs, a UV flashlight and enough white space to make even the best designer bored. The instructions stated “Use this flashlight to reveal hidden text” and then “Deny you ever used this flashlight.” If you want to see the complete package in real light and under a black light, check out The Denver Egotist.
