High gasoline prices are forcing North Carolina companies to rethink their traditional Monday through Friday workweeks. After we were quoted in an Associated Press story about companies offering their employees Fridays off in the summer, the News & Observer planned a new take on the trend and interviewed us.

This just goes to show - you may think your company has a policy or tradition that is interesting to no one outside of your cubicle walls. Well, think again. Our Summer Fridays off policy just happens to newsy because of rising oil and energy prices.
